● Why Choose Reshine Display as Your Anti-UV Display Partner
For vehicle terminal manufacturers, in-vehicle display failure has long been a hidden pain point that affects product reputation and after-sales costs. Whether it is commercial trucks, special engineering vehicles, new energy vehicle-mounted control terminals, or mobile on-board computers, the display screen is directly exposed to sunlight through the windshield for a long time, and ultraviolet (UV) radiation has become the main culprit for screen yellowing, touch failure, shortened service life, and reduced clarity.
According to the statistical data of the automotive electronics industry, the display failure rate of in-vehicle terminals without UV protection treatment is as high as 32% within two years, of which more than 60% of the failures are caused by UV radiation damage. Ordinary touchscreen products using conventional SAC bonding materials can only block 18.4% of UVR, which is almost unable to resist the long-term erosion of ultraviolet rays in the vehicle. Under high-temperature exposure in the car in summer, the aging speed of the display screen will be accelerated by 3-5 times, resulting in a sharp decline in user experience and a surge in after-sales maintenance costs for the whole vehicle.
Reshine Display has newly launched two anti-UV touchscreen samples for the harsh environment of vehicle terminals. Through professional solar film tester verification, our anti-UV solution can achieve a UVR blocking rate of up to 100%, fundamentally solving the UV damage problem of in-vehicle displays and providing long-term stable display support for various vehicle terminals.
Different from industrial indoor equipment, vehicle terminals have a unique operating environment: long-term sunlight exposure, large temperature differences between cold and heat, high-frequency vibration, and limited space for heat dissipation. UV radiation will cause continuous and irreversible damage to the display structure:
●First, the polarizer and liquid crystal layer inside the screen are easily degraded by UV rays. After 6-12 months of use, the screen will appear obvious yellowing, whitening, and contrast reduction. The navigation interface, control buttons, and status indicators that were clearly visible will become blurred, which not only affects the driver's operation but also brings potential safety hazards.
●Second, the ordinary SAC optical adhesive will lose its bonding stability under long-term UV irradiation. The cover glass and the sensor layer are prone to delamination, resulting in insensitive touch, drift, and even partial failure of the touch function. For in-vehicle control terminals that require real-time operation, this failure may directly affect driving safety.
In addition, UV radiation will also accelerate the aging of the circuit and sensor materials of the display screen, reducing the service life of the entire vehicle terminal from the original 5-8 years to less than 2 years. For vehicle manufacturers and fleet operators, this means a sharp increase in replacement costs, maintenance labor costs, and a decline in brand trust.

Combined with the structural characteristics, installation environment, and safety standards of vehicle terminals, we have launched two targeted anti-UV touchscreen products, both of which have passed professional instrument testing and meet the performance requirements of vehicle-mounted applications.
This product uses a specially modified anti-UV SAC bonding material instead of ordinary adhesives. Tested by a professional solar film tester, the UVR blocking rate reaches 99.8%, which can effectively block most ultraviolet rays from penetrating the adhesive layer and damaging the internal LCD and sensor.
It is suitable for conventional passenger vehicle terminals, commercial vehicle central control screens, and in-vehicle operation terminals with relatively closed cabins. While achieving high-efficiency UV protection, it retains good light transmittance and touch sensitivity, supports 10-point capacitive touch, and has a fast response speed, adapting to the -30℃~85℃ ultra-wide temperature range required for vehicle-mounted use.
This is our highest-specification anti-UV solution, designed for engineering vehicles, outdoor operation special vehicles, and open cab terminals with extremely strong UV exposure.
We plate a special anti-UV functional coating on the surface of the cover glass. The glass with the coating can be seen with a faint purple reflective layer with the naked eye, which is a visual sign of effective UV protection. The single anti-UV coated glass has a UVR blocking rate of 99.8%. After being laminated with the sensor glass using anti-UV SAC materials, the overall UVR blocking rate of the finished product is as high as 99.9%, achieving almost full-band UV isolation.
This solution has stronger outdoor durability, is resistant to high temperature, vibration, and dust, meets the IP65 protection level, and is more suitable for harsh vehicle-mounted scenarios with long-term outdoor exposure.
Reshine Display has 16 years of experience in the display industry, and provides full-chain customized services for vehicle terminal customers:
●Size range from 2.4 inches to 32 inches, supporting embedded, wall-mounted, and central control integrated installation methods
●Customizable LVDS, MIPI, RGB and other interfaces to match different vehicle-mounted motherboards and control systems
●Support anti-glare (AG), anti-fingerprint (AF) and other surface treatments to improve the clarity and ease of use under sunlight
●No MOQ limit for samples, fast proofing in 12-15 days, stable mass production capacity to ensure project delivery
●We do not just provide a touchscreen component, but a complete set of anti-UV display solutions for vehicle terminals, helping customers reduce after-sales rate, extend product life, and enhance the core competitiveness of complete vehicle equipment.
For vehicle terminal manufacturers, the cost of replacing displays and maintaining after-sales service is far higher than the input of selecting high-quality anti-UV products in the early stage. Our 99.9% high UV blocking rate solution can extend the service life of the display to more than 8 years, reduce the after-sales failure rate by more than 70%, and bring real cost reduction and efficiency improvement to customers.
At the same time, we have a professional R&D team and complete testing equipment, which can provide customers with UV blocking test reports, temperature resistance test reports, and other complete certification materials to support product certification and market access of vehicle-mounted projects.
